2019 Attainment KS2 Science
The children in Years 5, 7 and 8 sit the nationally recognised GL Progress tests. These are standard age scores. As a result nationally 50% of children who sat the GL progress test will receive a score of 100 or more. The results will be a standard distribution.
We use a Standard Age Score (SAS) of 97 (Stanine 5) as our benchmark for the GL tests of children achieving our expected standard for the Year. This is a high benchmark, as nationally only 60% of children will attain this standard. Similarly we use a Standard Age Score of 112 (Stanine 7) as our benchmark for children working at a higher standard in Years 5,7 and 8.
