DASP Fixture @ St Marys Puddletown

Posted on Posted in P.E. News

Despite the wet and windy weather, 40 St Osmunds pupils competed in the final Autumn Dasp fixture. 10 girls from yr 5&6 played in a Hi5 match, in which they improved their skills considerably. They were well managed and coached by 4 year 8 girls- special thanks to these girls. St Osmunds were also represented by a team for the ‘blind’ football, whereby players had to wear blindfolds to play. This team played exceptionally well and were praised by St Mary’s Headteachers for their conduct throughout the matches. The year 8 basketball team also played well and despite the uncompromising surface of the sportshall were able to secure a number of baskets against their opponents. Last but not least were the yr 8 boys football team, who managed 2 very strong wins against DMS and St Mary’s. Well done to all who played and thanks to Mr Kent, Mr Bagwell and Mr Symes for giving up their time for the pupils.
